FEELINGS
Form Follows Feelings shapes the way we think and
work at AYTM. It’s a simple idea, almost self-evident,
yet one that continues to guide everything we do.
We live our lives surrounded by objects. Not just as
functions, but as things we live with. Things we respond to.
We work intentionally with how design makes people
feel.
We involve users in our process. Because those small,
often unspoken reactions
tell us more than functionality alone ever could.
We work closely with materials. Not just for their performance, but for their presence. How they re昀氀ect
light. How they age. How they feel to the touch. Because the material is never just a surface, it’s what
creates the 昀椀rst connection. We consider weight. Balance. Proportion.
We allow room for something less de昀椀ned. A certain
openness. A tension. Something that isn’t resolved immediately.
That’s how we work with design and feelings. Not as
something abstract but as something we actively design for.
